Cecilia is artistic director of Spectra Ensemble. She has recently directed new productions for Opera North, Opera Holland Park and Berlin Opera Academy, rehearsing in German, Italian and French, and regularly works as revival and assistant director at The Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Garsington Opera. In July 2021 Cecilia was recognised with a Leonard Ingrams Award as one of the best young artists involved in bringing an opera to the Garsington stage.

Alongside her freelance work, Cecilia completed an AHRC-funded PhD in History of Art at University College London. Previously, Cecilia worked as Public Engagement Curator at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, Oxford where she staged monthly late nights, LiveFridays. Cecilia initially trained as a violinist under Igor Petrushevski at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, London.

Cecilia’s 2024/25 directing engagements include Così Fan Tutte for Opera North, Lucia di Lammermoor at Opera Holland Park and Don Giovanni for the Da Ponte Opera Festival, Italy.
